    1. PLEASE –  do not throw your diapers any ol where.  
    2. PLEASE – ask us for additional waste bags 
    3. PLEASE – plan to leave in your room in additional waste bag.  
    4. PLEASE – Do not throw them in the trash barrels around the grounds 
      1. They will sit there and begin to STINK and are not a welcome surprise when found
    5. PLEASE – There are no Diapers allowed in the pool.  
      1. We have had too many travelers let babies in the pool while wearing a dirty diaper witch is not allowed at all by state rules and is just wrong.  So me must not allow diapered children in the pool.  
      2. If an incident occurs – please notify one of the staff so we can address the issue immediately.  
  • LATE CHECKOUT / KEEP CAR   Check out is 11 AM during busy times we only have three hours to clean possibly multiple rooms so if you’re inquiring in hopes to stay late please check with the front office. If your requesting to leave a car behind for a few hours, please check with the front office or we will reply back if we see this
  • PARKING   is limited to 1 car per room.

  • COFFEE      BETWEEN ROOMS 4 AND 5 
    1. Coffee is available from 5 or 6 am til 10am.  – Free of Charge 
    2. We have Keurig Coffee , Fresh Brewed Coffee , Decaf and Tea bags.  
    3. At 10am the Satellites turn off so if you want coffee beyond 10am, just use a Microwave to reheat.   
    4. In the off season there is only Keurig
  • ICE MACHINE      BETWEEN ROOMS 4 AND 5 
    1. The Manufacturing of this Ice Machine has a defect in the cover / lid.
      1. Please raise the lid from the middle.  
      2. IF you raise the lid from either side , it is likely to fall out of the tracks
      3. IF THE LID FALLS OFF OR YOU FIND IT TO BE FALLLEN INTO THE ICE BIN, please notify one of the staff so we can address the issue immediately.

  • TV REMOTES  Television remotes for the hotel rooms are comprised of 2 remotes. 
    1. BLACK TV REMOTE – controls the TV (Black and says Samsung on the bottom)
        1. Use to control POWER (top left) , 
        2. VOLUME and 
        3. SOURCE button (top right).  – SOURCE BUTTON on black remote – allows you to get to HDMI1 where Direct TV is connected. Source button will also get you to Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, YouTube and other Internet-based television By scrolling on the bottom display ribbon
        4. If you have subscriptions , feel free to log in BUT be sure to log out before you go. 
    2. WHITE TV REMOTE – The OTHER remote is Direct TV (white and says Direct TV at the bottom). 
        1. USE IT FOR GUIDE AND LOCAL CHANELS 
        2. Selecting the Select button (middle of black remote) will give you the GUIDE . 
        3. There is no need to turn DIRECTV off
  • Heat / AC REMOTE
    1. The air conditioners are run by a white remote 
    2. when looking at the remote make sure the mode is on (cool dry heat fan). 
    3. point the remote at the unit on the wall and click on off button
    4. the unit (if on) will display the current temperature setting 
    5. use the up-and-down arrows to set the desired temperature 
    6. the older the batteries get the weaker the signal is so you may have to get up close to the unit.
    7. Please note:  In Hot Humid conditions like July into August , the excess humidity will cause the AC to convert more then normal Humid air into Dryer air.  That process takes the water out of the air thus causing the pumps located below the AC unit to work more frequent to remove the water from the room.  To prevent the need described , keep windows /doors closed – shades drawn to reduce effect of humidity getting into room.

That said , if all travelers due their part , Maine will remain safe. The Beaches are open with expectations to keep distance, The restaurants are open with both indoor and outdoor dining. Hotels are open

  • Pictures for sales – All the Pictures in the rooms at the Hotel were taken by Mark Kilduff. If there is something in particular you like , we can reproduce it and drop ship it to your door in days. Please ask at the Front office and we will place the order on the spot using a credit card to purchase the Canvas and a separate charge of $50 for the picture it self.

  • Departure – Cottage    By 11am tomorrow you should be checking out. Please leave it reasonably clean as possible. Thank you in advance. Please put all dishes in the dishwasher. We will make sure we run it or if you do , thank you. Please throw away or take all food in the Fridge. Please strip the beds and leave the sheets at the end of each so we can gather them along with dirty towels. . Please leave all trash outside in the barrels under the American Flag.   • HOUSE KEEPING POLICY:  Rooms are cleaned between 9am – 5pm.  There cannot be any favoritism.  Cleaning staff clean rooms in order of importance. It is important to have check in’s ready for 2pm.  Check outs at 11am that will become check in’s at 2pm are our first priority.  Depending on the amount of rooms checking out can take till 2pm to complete.  The second priority are refresh services to rooms not checking out.  This service phase can take from 2pm til 5pm to complete.  
  • REQUESTING REFRESH SERVICE TO YOUR ROOM:  There are door signs on the inside of each rooms’ door.  Please use these on the outside of door to alert the cleaning staff in the morning weather or not you request room refreshment.  Note that one side says “Do not disturb” and the other “Service Room” .  Hang the sign by 12pm each day of your stay so that the cleaning staff can plan accordingly.  Room tags are accounted for at 12pm.  So if you hang your “Service Room” LATE – it will not be considered for full refresh service. 
    1. TYPES OF REFRESH SERVICE TO YOUR ROOM:  2 types of Refresh Service.  Full and Late Requested.  
      1. FULL refresh service  posted by 12pm includes a clean up of the bathroom, changing of towels, make up of the beds, emptying of trash and full vacuuming.  In the case of stays beyond 4 days – on the fourth day , linens will be fully replaced with fresh sets.  
      2. LATE requested service posted 12pm includes changing of towels, make up of the beds, emptying  trash.  
    2. Please do not change the status posted.  Believe it or not this confuses the cleaning staff.  
    3. Please do not post your request late in the day and expect full service.

    1. The Greenery Café For breakfast there’s no matching The Greenery Café. Lisa and Amy take awesome pride in their cooking and ingredients we’ve been sending folks there since they opened and everyone loves their food
    2. Front Porch Piano Bar and Restaurant As far as afternoon and evening entertainment there is front porch piano bar in the center of town which always draws a wonderful crowd around the piano for sing-alongs and great music
    3. Main Street Le club For evening entertainment there is Main Street Le club offering shows, local spirits lounges and a state of the art dance floor
    4. Hooks   Just beyond the Hotel headed north and walking distance is Hooks , Great Tex Mex food with live entertainment.  Open 4pm daily 
    5. PIZZA – La-pizzeria in the center of town. drop off 207-646-1143
    6. Angelina’s fine authentic Italian cuisine which is directly across the street 
    7. Beach fire bar and Grill offering smoked food and delicious American fare along with their outdoor fire pit great for congregating after a meal.
