Come to Christmas by the Sea with an empty stomach because we guarantee the festival’s food will be too delicious to pass up! Several Ogunquit restaurants prepare their best clam chowder, chocolate, and other local delicacies for visitors to taste. Each dish has its perfect match of beer or wine to sip on at the same time.
Visit with Santa
Unsure if you’ve made the naughty or nice list this year? Have no fear, Santa is here! When visiting Ogunquit Christmas by the Sea, Santa will listen to your Christmas list.
Tree Lightings
Another classic event at Ogunquit Christmas by the Sea is the Giving Tree Silent Auction. Ogunquit locals gather their best tree decorations and contribute them to the Giving Tree Silent Auction. A winner is then selected from the lottery tree, and who knows who the winner will be!
Basement Bazaar & Art Sale
Deciding what gifts to purchase for your loved ones seems like an impossible task during the holidays. Luckily, artists from the Ogunquit region make crafts for Christmas by the Sea art sales. You can browse the vendors’ inventory in the Dunaway basement or at Gypsy Sweethearts. Expect to see jewelry, wreaths, sweaters, and more!
Plunge ‘n’ Parade
Slip on your swimsuit and participate in this year’s Polar Plunge hosted at Ogunquit Beach. Polar Plunge’s proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots, an organization that distributes toys to parents who can’t afford to purchase toys for their children this Christmas.
